The HCP621G-PMH is a gastight, temperature-controlled probing stage capable of heating and cooling between -190°C and 600°C. Four (4) independent electrical probers are manually positioned onto the sample, which rests on a 30mm x 28mm silver thermal block. Electrical heating provides precision temperature control up to 600°C, while Instec's optional LN2-P system enables sample cooling via LN2 circulation down to -190°C.
The HCP621G-PMH gastight chamber supports a positive-pressure gas purge up to +0.5 Bar for reactive/ Inert gasses or humidity control. The alternative HCP421V-PMH model comes with a vacuum-tight chamber, and is rated for a positive pressure +0.5 Bar gas purge, or a rough 10*10^-3 mBar evacuation for prevention of condensation or oxidation while heating/ cooling. The vacuum-tight version is strongly recommended for extended duration experiments at low temperatures, but has a reduced upper heating limit of 400ºC under vacuum.
The HCP621G-PMH is specially designed using non-ferromagnetic materials in the heating/ cooling core that will not interact with applied magnetic fields. The non-magnetic region extends in a 50mm radius from the center of the sample area, and is suitable for pole diameters of up to 100mm. The 27mm thick chamber easily fits into a range of permanent or electromagnets without compromising electric field strength. Pair the HCP621G-PMH with Instec's M06T manual Hall effect station to perform Hall effect measurements with simultaneous precision temperature control and atmospheric control. For applications that do not require Hall Effect Measurment, the HCP621G-PM or HCP421V-PM models are reccomended instead.

HCP621G-PMH Base-Model Options
Add-on options for the HCP621G-PMH base model are listed below. These items can be added at any time, and can even be installed by the end-user in the field. When adding a cooling system to an existing HCP621G-PMH system, it may be necessary to upload a new parameter file to the temperature controller.
Active Sample Cooling The standard HCP621G-PMH supports precision temperature control from room temperature to 600°C. Enable active sample cooling with one of our LN2 suction-pump cooling systems to unlock active cooling rates as high as -50°C/min and a lower temperature limit of -190°C. Note: When cooling below -60, it is highly recommended to utilize the gas-tight chamber to prevent condensation and ice formation via a gas-purge or low-vacuum. | |

Window Size and Viewing Angle The standard HCP621G-PMH has a gas-tight chamber lid with a viewing aperture of 18mm (22mm glass window) with a viewing angle of ±48.0° from normal. For applications which require a larger observation area and/or a larger viewing angle, alternate chamber lids are available. Larger window sizes increase the viewing area and angle, but comes at the cost of slightly reduced temperature uniformity. It is also possible to remove the viewing aperture entirely to reduce the overall thickness of the HCP621G-PMH to increase magnetic field strength or improve magnet compatibility. | |

Environmental Control With its Gas-tight chamber, the HCP621G-PMH base model is capable of positive pressure gas-purge up to 0.5 Bar or very rough evacuation down to 1mBar. Gas ports are available in either straight or right angle orientations. Right angle ports are generally more low-profile, and may be preferable for certain applications. Relative humidity control is also available via our RHC01 relative humidity controller. | |

All HCP621G-PMH models include side-mounted L-brackets and tapped holes on the base for easy mounting to any instrument.
