The LCH-S11 is designed to apply an electrical field to Instec’s S-type, SG-type and IPS liquid crystal cells using two BNC connectors. The flip style lid securely contacts the LC cell for use over a wide temperature range. When used with SG-type cells, a miniature toggle-switch can be used to enable/disable the guarding ring electrode. This cell holder can be used with any side-loading Instec stage, with or without a sample XY kit, and is fully compatible with Instec’s ALCT liquid crystal testing instruments. Note: A hot and cold stage spacer kit must be installed when using this product.
LCH-S11 is designed for Instec’s S-type, SG-type and IPS liquid crystal cells.

The LCH-S12 cell holder is available for use with Instec's miniature LC2, LC3 & LC4 style cells, with the same features as above.
The LCH-S9 is a simplified version of the LCH-S11 designed for use with abnormally sized, home-made or any other kind of non-Instec LC cell. Instead of a clamping lid, the LCH-S9 has simple electrical pads that are typically used with electrically conductive tape. Because the LCH-S9 relies on electrically conductive tape, the upper temperature rating is limited to about 60°C. If used with another electrical contact solution, the LCH-S9 can be used to the full rated temperature limit of 120°C.
