Simple stage for quick experiments with upright and inverted microscopes

The TS102S is a Thermoelectric Cooler (Peltier) based thermal stage that can cool down to -25°C without using liquid nitrogen. This is very convenient for performing long duration experiments within a moderate temperature range. The simple system setup reduces experimental complexity compared to LN2 cooled systems or closed chamber stages. With an open surface and spring-loaded clamps to fit 25mm x 75mm microscope slides, this Peltier stage is as quick and easy as things can get for optical experiments requiring temperature control.

TS102S Base-Model Options
Add-on options for the TS102S base model are listed below. These items can be added at any time, and can even be installed by the end-user in the field.
TEC Cooling The standard TS102S comes with a C100W benchtop water circulator that enables sample cooling down to -10°C. By adding ice to the C100W reservoir, the minimum achievable temperature is -25°C, which can be maintained for a short duration until the ice melts. To maintain these lower temperatures for longer intervals, alternative water cooling options are available. The CW5000 is a recirculating chiller uses a compact refrigeration system to cool and circulate water as low as 5°C, allowing the TS102S to maintain -30°C indefinetly.
Note: While operation below 0° is possible with the TS102S, cooling for extended durations in ambient conditions will lead to condensation on the thermal area and sample. A gas-tight or vacuum-tight alternative is reccommended for such applications. | |

Mounting adaptors Mounting adaptors allow the TS102S to be easily mounted on your optical instrument of choice. All TS102S models include 4 through-hold mounting points located at each corner of the frame (140mm x 90mm spacing). The TS102S also includes a ø99mm dove-tail mount integrated into the frame. Besides these two mounting solutions, a number of specially made mounting adaptors are avialable for a wide range of optical tools. | |

Transmission Aperture Some applications require larger transmission apertures than others- whether it be to see more of a sample, allow for more light transmission, or for compatibility with specialized instruments. However, larger transmission apertures also result in larger thermal gradients across the observation area, decreasing the temperature uniformity. Tune the TS102S+ transmission aperture size to optimize the temperature uniformity while maximizing the transmission aperture size. | |
