The TS102-LC1 is a compact hot and cold stage designed specifically for liquid crystal applications. The clamshell lid contains spring-loaded contacts for up to one S or SG type Instec LC cell, allowing for easy electrical measurements with incredibly precise temperature control. Thermoelectric (TEC) heating and cooling provides a convenient method for regulating sample temperature from -30°C up to 120°C with ±0.05°C degree stability, and without the need for consumable cryogens. The TS102-LC1 includes a suitable water-cooling system for the desired lower-temperature limit, be it -20°C or -30°C.
An optical transmission aperture allows for electro-optical characteristics such as K22 to be measured with an ALCT-E01 system, or with a homemade electro-optical instrument. BNC connections for signal Drive/Return are built into the semi-gastight chassis, which can be purged with dry-inert gas to prevent condensation during long experiments. Easily switch between Guarded (SG) and Un-guarded (S) type cells using the integrated toggle switch.
The TS102S-LC1 is perfect for precise electrical and optical measurements on Instec LC cells, and is strongly recommended for making precise electrical and optical measurements.
