DESCRIPTION
This HCP202SG-MPS+ is a customized benchtop probe station with a unique capability: the sample is loaded into an independent, removable gas-tight transfer box. The transfer box is used to transport a sample from inside a controlled environment such as a glove box and into the probe station without exposing it to the surrounding atmosphere. Once the transfer box is loaded, the probe station is sealed and purge with the same atmosphere as the sample. Finally, a mechanism is used to remove the lid from the transfer box to expose the sample, which is now accessible for electrical probing, temperature control and optical analysis.
With the sample exposed, the independent electrical probers may be positioned to probe electrical pads on the sample. Precision temperature control from -190°C to 200°C allows for temperature dependent characterization of the now exposed sample. Once the sample has been analyzed, the chamber is purged with regular atmosphere, and the transfer box and sample are removed.
