DESCRIPTION
This customized HCC218S+ was modified to add a silicon carbide sample area with custom mounting holes along the perimeter. The unique Silicon-Carbide sample area has a very high level of surface flatness! The sample area has 4 vaccum zones for securing wafers or other samples of various sizes. The sample area also has cooling channels which are compatible with Instec's LN2-P cooling system, greatly expanding the temperature range by allowing for sub-zero temperature control. The base has multiple customized mounting holes, and supports frame cooling to prevent heat damage to instruments or work surfaces.
