Thermoelectric stage for inverted microscope operation with optional cover lid for better temperature uniformity

Instec's TS102Si is a Thermoelectric (Peltier) Hot and Cold stage designed specifically for inverted optical microscopes. It features an open-face thermal block, easy-to-use temperature control, and excellent optical access, offering extremely small working distances for high-magnification optics.
The TS102Si's sample chamber can accomodate Ø35mm Petri dish specimins and glass slides up to 25mm x 75mm(standard). Optional inner-lids can be used to improve temperature uniformity or support special samples such as flow cells. Dual thermoelectric (Peltier) modules heat and cool without the need for Cryogens, reducing operating costs and simplifying the system setup.
The TS102Si is an ideal solution for applications such as Cell Culturing, Biology, and Thermal Microscopy for inverted microscopes.

TS102Si Base-Model Options
Add-on options for the TS102Si base model are listed below. These items can be added at any time, and can even be installed by the end-user in the field.
TEC/ Frame Cooling Upgrades
The standard TS102Si comes with a C100W benchtop water circulator that enables sample cooling down to -10°C. By adding ice to the C100W reservoir, the minimum achievable temperature is -25°C, which can be maintained for a short duration until the ice melts. To maintain these lower temperatures for longer intervals, alternative water cooling options are available. The CW5000 is a recirculating chiller that uses a compact refrigeration system to cool and circulate water as low as 5°C, allowing the TS102Si to maintain -30°C indefinitely.
Note: Note: Cooling for extended durations in ambient conditions will lead to condensation on the thermal area and sample. For long-duration cooling experiments, consider upgrading to a gas tight stage such as the TSA12Gi. | |

Mounting Adaptors
Mounting adaptors allow the TS102Si to be easily mounted onto your optical instrument of choice. All TS102Si models include tapped holes on the base and through-holes in each of the four corners for easy mounting to any instrument or surface. Transmission Aperture Adjustment Some applications require larger transmission apertures than others- whether it be to see more of a sample, allow for more light transmission, or for compatibility with specialized instruments. However, larger transmission apertures also result in larger thermal gradients across the observation area, decreasing the temperature uniformity. Tune the TS102Si+ transmission aperture size to optimize the temperature uniformity while maximizing the transmission aperture size. | |
